Reporting to the Director of IT and collaborating closely with business partners, the BSA will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and the IT team to support the ongoing evolution of systems and data platforms to meet Our client Group’s needs.
Initiatives that the BSA will contribute to include: (1) for a major Our client Group business unit, migration from a legacy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to a more modern, fit-for-purpose ERP, (2) enhancing a Business Intelligence platform, and (3) support and ongoing enhancements to a newly implemented system used by the Corporate Finance team for strategic planning and business performance analysis/reporting.
The role is based at Our client Group’s offices located in either Amherst, New York or Burlington, Ontario, depending on the successful candidate’s proximity to these locations. Given the nature of the role and the work, the expectation is that work will be done on-site. Occasional travel (up to 10–20%) to Canadian and U.S. sites will be required for workshops, training, and project collaboration

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
ERP Implementation Program
Business Process Analysis & Documentation:
• Collaborate with business units (Operations, Customer Service, Procurement, Finance etc) to capture and map end-to-end ERP workflows.
• Create and maintain detailed business process flows using modeling tools. • Ensure consistency and clarity in process / solution documentation for use in training, process audits, and ERP system alignment.
• Facilitate workshops and interviews to gather business requirements and validate process flows.
• Support business stakeholders in the development of User Acceptance Test test scripts, issues tracking/resolution, and documentation.

Report Development & Analytics:
• Design and build operational and analytical reports using the ERP platform’s reporting tools. • Create interactive dashboards and visual reports to support decision-making and performance tracking.
• Translate business needs into functional reporting specifications, ensuring high usability and data integrity.
• Maintain a structured reporting repository and promote standardization of KPIs across departments.
Functional and Transactional Support to end users:
• Maintain issues log and coordinate with project team to track resolution status • Support ongoing report requests
Business Performance Management
• Collaborate with Finance teams in developing and enhancing reporting and analytics for the consolidated Company and its divisions.
• Facilitate conversations between regions/business segments to drive consistency and continuous mindset across the global organization.
• Collaborate with senior management and I.T. to continuously drive improvements in corporate and divisional financial reporting processes.
• Improve accuracy and completeness of data to drive improved business intelligence at Our client.
Business Intelligence / Analytics
• Collaborate with business stakeholders on the enhancement of Our client business intelligence platform.
• Support Master Data Management processes and procedures to ensure completeness and accuracy of data
• Work closely with business and IT stakeholders on managing a backlog of requests for report and dashboard enhancements
• Maintain the platform’s data model and identify opportunities to introduce new value-added data sources.
• Ensure compliance with data governance standards and security protocols in all reporting and analytics work.
• Collaborate with IT to monitor system performance, optimize data refresh processes, and troubleshoot BI-related issues.

Qualifications
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• 5+ years of work experience as a Business Systems Analyst.
• Experience working with Manufacturing companies and familiarity with key functions including Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales and Customer Service. • Full project life cycle BSA support for ERP and enterprise systems implementations, from requirements definition to test case development and documentation, through coordinating user acceptance testing and management of user-reported issues/defects. • Business Intelligence / Data & Analytics experience including requirements analysis, data modeling, design/development of queries and scripts, and authoring/modifying reports using report-generation and visualization tools.
• Process and workflow modeling/analysis/documentation using industry standard frameworks and tools, including internal controls.
• Experience with processes and systems used for financial and business performance management, such as close and consolidation, and planning & analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in one of: information systems (MIS), Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• Advanced degree and/or certifications in any of the following areas will be an asset: CPA, CFA, Data & Analytics, Business Process Modeling, Operations Management, ERP or Business Performance Management software vendor certifications.
