Responsibilities
Lead the gathering, analysis, and documentation of business requirements for enhancements to HR systems, collaborating closely with HR stakeholders and IT teams.
Translate complex business needs into clear, concise, and actionable functional specifications and user stories.
Facilitate workshops, interviews, and other communication channels to elicit comprehensive requirements.
Act as a subject matter expert on HR processes and system functionalities, providing guidance and recommendations.
Support the full software development life cycle (SDLC) in an agile environment, including planning, design, testing, and deployment.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and system optimizations within the HR landscape.
Conduct gap analysis between current and future state processes and systems.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across various departments.
Participate in quality assurance activities, including developing test plans and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT).
Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for HR system-related issues as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Information Technology, or a related field.
3+ years of progressive experience as a Business Analyst, with a significant focus on HR systems.
Demonstrated experience working with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) as a Business Analyst is essential.
Proven ability to work in an agile development environment with continuous delivery.
Strong understanding of core HR processes (e.g., recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, performance management, time and attendance).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical and business concepts clearly and concisely.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in requirements gathering tools and methodologies (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Visio).
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA) or Agile methodologies (CSM, CSPO) is an asset.
