Responsibilities
- Lead the gathering, documentation, and analysis of business needs through JAD sessions, interviews, and mock-ups.
- Conduct extensive business process mapping, workflow analysis, use case modeling, and both conceptual and logical data modeling.
- Translate business and data requirements into technical specifications sufficient for designing robust technology solutions.
- Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, traceability matrices, and non-functional requirements definitions.
- Contribute to the development of RFPs, RFQs, SOWs, and performance measures; identify integration opportunities based on industry trends.
- Interact with subject matter experts and technology services to ensure clear communication and resolve project-related problems.
- Ensure all requirements and designs adhere to Information Management principles and AODA standards.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in process mapping, workflow analysis, use case modeling, and data flow modeling.
- Proven track record in assessing business problems and opportunities to determine viable I&IT solutions.
- Experience aligning analysis efforts with gating processes, enterprise architecture, and system development methodologies.
- Exceptional negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills used to manage stakeholder expectations.
- Proficiency in using CASE tools (such as Visio) to document conceptual requirements and project scope.
- Previous experience working within public sector environments or government frameworks.
- Experience preparing business cases and detailed cost-benefit analyses.
- Understanding of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) regulations.
