The consultant will be responsible for researching new legislative and organizational details and ensuring the updated architecture successfully passes all governance checkpoints. This is a Hybrid role based in Guelph, Ontario, requiring 3 days a week in the office.

Responsibilities
The Intermediate Business Architect will be responsible for:
- Architecture Update & Delivery: Updating the existing Business Architecture Document (BAD) to reflect the requirements of the new SCA 2025 Act and incorporating the new organizational structure.
- Governance & Compliance: Preparing all necessary deliverables for Architecture Governance Point 1, 2, and 3. Coordinating and collaborating with the Cluster / Corporate Architecture review team to refine and mitigate all review logs and finalize the updated BAD.
- Research & Analysis: Conducting ongoing research to incorporate the new SCA details and the updated organizational structure into the architecture documentation.
- Stakeholder Communication: Creating presentations, diagrams, and models to communicate complex architectural ideas. Planning, coordinating, and executing meetings with cross-functional teams to gain understanding and alignment.
- Architecture Maintenance: Contributing to the definition, implementation, and execution of processes for the definition, maintenance, and conformance management of the Business Architecture.
- Leadership & Resolution: Providing architectural leadership in the resolutions of inter-program and inter-project issues.
Qualifications
Must-Have Experience:
- 3 or more years of experience in Business Architect role.
- Demonstrated experience in creation and delivery of key Business Architecture deliverables.
- Ability to coordinate with Cluster / Corporate Architecture review team to refine and mitigate all review logs.
- Experience creating presentations, diagrams, and models to communicate complex ideas.
- Experience planning, coordinating, and executing meetings with cross-function teams (Stakeholder Communication).
Desired Skills (Assets):
- Previous experience working in Government or Public Sector organizations.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) to support BAD activities.
