In this enterprise-level advising role, you will bring a combination of hands-on technical depth and strategic vision to shape the future of the organization's technology landscape. You will perform comprehensive technology assessments—spanning current state analysis, target operating models, gap identification, and architecture reviews—to guide critical decisions across Capital Markets, Treasury, and Risk Management.
Working within a highly collaborative, Agile environment, you will interface directly with executive and senior stakeholders, evaluating current software platforms, identifying modernization opportunities, and assessing the practical applications of emerging tech—including Generative AI—to solve complex financial challenges.

Duration: 6-Month Contract (Potential for extension)

Strategic Technology Assessment: Lead end-to-end technology assessments including current state analysis, future state visioning, gap analysis, and technology architecture reviews across Capital Markets, Treasury, and Risk Management.
Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and cross-functional teams, translating complex technical and platform mechanics into clear, business-relevant strategies to build consensus.
Architecture & Emerging Tech Evaluation: Recommend technology solutions and architectural approaches, actively assessing the applicability of modern platforms and Generative AI (Gen AI) to solve complex risk and financial challenges.
Subject Matter Guidance: Apply deep, hands-on knowledge of treasury, risk management, and finance platforms to guide decisions around software investments, platform modernization, and regulatory compliance.
Roadmap Development: Establish and drive actionable technology roadmaps that balance immediate operational needs with long-term enterprise goals.
Continuous Innovation: Identify continuous improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, risk visibility, and financial reporting through technology modernization.
Qualifications
Must-Have Requirements:
- 15+ Years of deep experience in technology consulting, enterprise architecture, or domain-specific technology leadership within major financial institutions.
- 10+ Years of specialized domain expertise across Capital Markets, Risk Management, Treasury, and Finance technology platforms.
- 5+ Years of direct experience with key financial software engines such as QRM, WKFS (Wolters Kluwer Financial Services), or Regnology.
- Emerging Tech Proficiency: Demonstrated understanding and practical knowledge of Generative AI (Gen AI) applications and modern AI/ML technology trends within financial services.
- Executive Communication: Proven capability to present complex technical findings to C-suite and senior stakeholders with high influence and clarity.
- Education: Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, or a related quantitative field.
Nice-to-Have Requirements:
- Direct prior experience within major Canadian retail or investment banking environments.
