Position: Business Continuity Specialist
Hybrid, 4 days onsite (at least 1 of the 4 days must be on a Monday/Friday),
Competitive salary
Location: Vancouver, BC
6 month contract with the possibility of extension
Hybrid (the primary office location is under renovation; the expectation is 1 day each week in the temporary work location. After the renovation is completed, staff are required to be in office 4 days each week).

Responsibilities
Business Continuity Management
•Uplift the 1LOD business continuity management (BCM) processes and documentation for GAM, to ensure consistency and alignment with Enterprise BCM Policy and Standard.
•Review and update the structure of BIAs and BCPs, and perform required periodic refresh.
•Establish annual business continuity exercise plan.
•Support business in the identification of risks and the selection of appropriate recovery strategies.
•Analyze dependencies to identify gaps in meeting RTO/RPO requirements or single point of failure. Document gaps with action plans or risk acceptance.
•Support business change initiatives as it relates to BCM, including completion / update of associated BIA, BCP, and required recovery testing.
•Work with WM BCM Advisors for guidance and maintain green BCM KRIs.
•Track outstanding audit or regulatory findings on GAM’s business continuity management, assuring established timelines are met.
Assist with Operational Risk Activities
Participate in other Operational Risk activities as requested/required.
Qualifications
Must-have Skills/Experiences and/or Education, certifications, qualifications, designations:
•College or University degree in Business Administration, Technology, or BCM and Emergency Management
•3-5 years of combined knowledge, skill, and background in business continuity, disaster recovery, technology and operational risk, or supplier/vendor management
Nice-to-have Skills/Experience and/or Education, certifications, qualifications, designations:
•Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or Associate Business Continuity Planner (ABCP)
•Work experience in Asset Management firms.
Soft Skills:
•Strong ability to collaborate and work effectively in teams, with internal departments or suppliers, building partnerships with stakeholders.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
•Good time management capability to effectively manage a variable workload to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
•Strong attention to details.
