...
In this role, you will work within an enterprise environment that heavily utilizes modern AI tooling (such as Devin AI agents and GitHub repositories) to accelerate discovery, documentation, and testing. You won't be writing code, but you will act as the crucial human-in-the-loop validator, verifying that technical outputs meet exact business logic, regulatory rules, and strict control standards.
Role Type: 6-Month Contract (35 hours/week)
Location: Hybrid (3 days/week in-office in Canada)
Advantages
Innovative AI Stack: Gain hands-on exposure to cutting-edge AI-assisted SDLC workflows, leveraging AI agents and automated platforms to streamline systems analysis.
Supportive Culture: Join a highly collaborative, close-knit team with a strong culture of daily knowledge sharing and mentorship.
High-Impact Domain: Deepen your expertise in enterprise finance, reinsurance, and modern technology integrations within a heavily regulated environment.
Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a standard 35-hour work week with structured time-off policies.
Responsibilities
Requirements & Data Analysis: Elicit, analyze, and document technical system requirements, process flows, data mappings, non-functional requirements, and exception-handling logic.
AI Output Validation: Review and validate AI-generated system artifacts, acceptance criteria, test data, and documentation to ensure auditability, accuracy, and compliance.
Cross-Functional Integration: Partner with architects, engineers, QA, and external vendors to define system prerequisites, connectivity, data flows, and scheduling needs.
Testing & Data Verification: Perform basic to intermediate SQL queries to validate test results, verify data migrations, and confirm system behavior against functional specs.
Operational Readiness: Develop runbooks, trace requirements to delivery work items, and support early-life production stabilization and cutover activities.
Qualifications
Experience: 4 to 6+ years of experience as an IT/Systems Business Analyst supporting financial technology solutions.
Industry Domain: Proven background in the Insurance sector is required; exposure to Finance (Treasury, AP/AR, Financial Reporting) or Reinsurance systems is strongly preferred.
Technical Proficiency:
- Proficiency with basic-to-intermediate SQL for data validation.
- Solid understanding of the SDLC, data mapping, and repository management concepts (e.g., GitHub, Jira, Confluence).
- Knowledge of system integration concepts (SFTP, APIs, iPaaS) and security/control principles (PGP encryption, access workflows).
AI Mindset: An adaptable, curious mindset eager to embrace AI-assisted analysis and review workflows.
Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to assertively guide stakeholders, ask incisive questions, and navigate strict governance environments.
Summary
