Responsibilities
Procurement Operations & Support
Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external procurement inquiries, supporting operational requests for sourcing, POs, change orders, delivery, and invoice discrepancies.
Order materials and services efficiently in a fast-paced environment (translating field needs, securing competitive quotes, placing orders, and tracking fulfillment).
Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to internal Business Units regarding supply chain best practices.
Communicate operational statuses, potential risks, process changes, and compliance metrics effectively.
Source suppliers and negotiate orders while consistently meeting established procurement KPIs.
Stakeholder & Supplier Relationship Management
Foster strong collaborative relationships with Project Managers, Operational Personnel, and Shared Services.
Maintain active communication channels with suppliers to optimize delivery, resolve issues, and improve ongoing business processes.
Balance local and regional operational decisions to align seamlessly with corporate oversight and growth objectives.
Strategic Procurement & Analysis
Analyze data to identify untapped opportunities for cost savings and expanded service coverage.
Research, evaluate, and recommend suppliers based on total value metrics, including price, quality, reliability, and distribution capabilities.
Design, build, and issue RFQs, and manage subsequent responses to complete thorough Total Cost of Ownership analyses.
Process Improvement
Partner with the wider procurement function to evaluate, streamline, and enhance the current Procure-to-Pay workflow.
Qualifications
Education: Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
Experience: 2+ years of dedicated experience in a Procurement or Supply Chain Management role.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
Core Competencies: Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical skills; proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently with minimal supervision.
Problem-Solving: A continuous improvement mindset with a track record of taking full accountability for resolving delivery and invoice issues.
Asset Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)
Previous buying experience with construction materials (e.g., MRO, PPE, cement, equipment rentals, aggregates, metals, waterworks, lumber).
Hands-on software experience with Zip P2P software.
Prior procurement experience within the Construction or Infrastructure industries.
