Responsibilities
Develop and manage material requirements planning (MRP) based on production forecasts, sales trends, and seasonal demand.
Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, ingredients, while minimizing waste and spoilage.
Collaborate with procurement, production, quality assurance, and warehouse teams to align material availability with production needs.
Monitor supplier performance and coordinate with vendors to resolve delivery issues or quality concerns.
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure compliance with food safety regulations and traceability requirements.
Analyze inventory turnover, shelf life, and obsolescence risks to optimize stock levels.
Support new product launches by coordinating material availability and lead times.
Generate reports on inventory health, material usage, and supply chain KPIs.
Develop and execute transportation plans to support production schedules, customer deliveries, and inventory strategies.
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments across multiple modes (truckload, LTL, intermodal, ocean, air).
Optimize transportation routes and carrier selection to reduce costs and improve service levels.
Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays, disruptions, or exceptions.
Collaborate with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with service agreements.
Maintain accurate transportation data in TMS and ERP systems.
Analyze freight spend, carrier performance, and delivery metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, including DOT, customs, and international trade requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree OR Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Food Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
2–3 years of experience in materials planning or supply chain roles within the food or beverage industry.
Proficiency in SAP
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
