In this position, you would be dismantling cars/vehicles for scrapping by removing useable parts, and draining fluids.
What you need to know:
Position: Temporary (up to 6 weeks)
Location: Surrey, BC

Shift Time: 6:30AM-3:00PM
Wage: $20H-$22/hr based on experience
*Transit accessible however 20-minute walk from Scott Road Station *
You must be legally permitted to work full-time in British Columbia

Responsibilities
* Working in an undercover outdoor environment
* Using hand/power tools to remove tires/wheels, batteries, fluids, mercury switches, and catalytic converters as necessary
* Stacking batteries on pallets
* Performing inspections/checks to ensure all parts are removed
* Participating in safety, quality, and environmental inspections
Qualifications
* High School diploma, GED Certification, or equivalent experience in a similar role preferred
* Min of 1+ years of experience working in a yard or automotive garage environment
* Mechanically inclined/experience using hand/power tools
* Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
* You are comfortable working in a covered outdoor environment in all types of weather
* No physical limitations and ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and stand/walk for 8 hour shift
* Good attitude and can work well with no supervision and with the team
* You have High Ankle Steel Toe Boots with Toe Cover (metatarsal protector)
