Responsibilities
Reimbursement & Case Expertise: Serve as a territory resource on complex insurance, funding, and special authorization requests. You will investigate financial options for patients without coverage and resolve access issues.
Patient Support & Care Coordination: Help patients choose clinics and pharmacies, schedule appointments, and coordinate their medication orders seamlessly with various stakeholders.
High-Volume Phone Engagement: Provide compassionate telephone support by making outbound calls to patients, doctors, and insurance companies to guide them through funding barriers and treatment compliance.
Clinical Tracking & Compliance: Strictly follow program protocols to monitor patient therapies, track disruptions, file mandatory adverse event reports, and accurately log every detail in our CRM database.
Team & Management Support: Support team members on complex files, assist with onboarding new hires, and collaborate with Program Managers on daily reports, administrative tasks, and program updates.
Qualifications
Education: Minimum University Degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
Customer Service & Call Centre: Minimum of 1+ year of experience in customer service or a call centre environment (high-volume calls and patient-facing experience is preferred; experience in medical, pharmaceutical, or insurance industries is an asset).
Language Requirement: Unilingual English fluency is required (French language skills are a strong asset). Must be able to communicate confidently and professionally with patients, Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), and external stakeholders.
Case Management & Multitasking: Strong case management and multitasking abilities, with a proven capability to manage multiple patient cases, follow-ups, and competing deadlines simultaneously.
Detail & Documentation Skills: Exceptionally detail-oriented with strong documentation skills to ensure accurate data entry, precise case tracking, and strict adherence to established protocols.
Problem-Solving & Communication: Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex reimbursement or access issues while seamlessly coordinating care with doctors, clinics, and insurance companies.
Technical Savvy: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and a proven ability to learn new software and CRM databases (e.g., Salesforce) quickly.
