Drive the entire tendering cycle by issuing RFPs, leveling subcontractor quotes, and communicating final award decisions.
Partner seamlessly with project managers and field operations to facilitate smooth project handovers from the preconstruction phase into active construction.
Conduct thorough risk evaluations alongside the operations team to proactively identify and mitigate potential schedule delays or cost overruns. Audit and revise cost projections continuously to account for design modifications, labor shifts, or changes in material availability.
Advise internal teams on value engineering and proactively identify opportunities to maximize cost-efficiency.
Submit regular resource allocation updates to departmental leadership and escalate critical issues when necessary.
Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years of proven professional estimating experience within the construction industry.
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, or a closely related academic discipline.
Mandatory hands-on project experience within the commercial and light industrial construction sectors.
Prior background in a supervisory or team leadership capacity is highly preferred.
Comprehensive understanding of modern building codes, structural systems, and construction materials.
Exceptional financial acumen covering construction budgeting, cost control, and quantitative reporting.
Working knowledge of preconstruction software workflows, specifically Building Connected.
Demonstrated ability to foresee constructability challenges in complex scenarios and engineer out-of-the-box solutions.
Outstanding communication, organization, and time-management skills, tailored for a fast-paced and adaptable work environment.
