Responsibilities
Design & Planning: Prepare conceptual plans, preliminary designs, and detailed site plans for infrastructure retrofits, rehabilitation, and new municipal projects.
Project Management: Oversee various stages of project delivery, including contract administration, cost estimation, and on-site construction inspections.
Technical Solutions: Analyze options to provide clients with practical, cost-efficient solutions for civil engineering challenges.
Documentation: Draft high-quality technical reports, winning proposals, specifications, and tender documents.
Mentorship: Act as a guide and mentor to junior team members, fostering a collaborative internal environment.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs and processes adhere to relevant regulations and permit requirements.
Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Municipal, or Infrastructure Engineering.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in municipal design, planning, and construction activities.
Licensure: Must currently hold a P.Eng designation in Canada or be eligible to obtain registration within 6 months.
Technical Expertise: Direct experience with projects involving water/wastewater treatment, roadworks, land development, stormwater management, or waste management facilities.
Communication Skills: Excellent ability to write reports and proposals, combined with strong oral communication skills.
Soft Skills: Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a proactive, problem-solving mindset
