Compensation: $32.00 – $35.00/hour (Based on experience)

Are you a Class 1 Driver who takes pride in your equipment and doesn't mind rolling up your sleeves? Cooper is looking for a versatile, safety-conscious team player to join our Winterburn branch. This isn't just a "steering wheel holder" position—we need a dedicated professional who can navigate 10' wide oversized loads into downtown Edmonton and jump on a 35k forklift to help the team when the truck is parked.

Responsibilities
Oversized Transport: Operating a Class 1 (18-speed manual) 53' sleeper/tandem trailer and an F550 for smaller deliveries.
Regional Routes: Navigating local Edmonton roads and performing long-haul runs to Fort McMurray and Grande Prairie.
Load Management: Safely loading/unloading trench shoring and 10,000 lb steel panels using picker trucks and forklifts (5k–35k lbs).
Yard & Shop Support: Spending roughly 25% of your time on general labour, yard organization, and product maintenance.
Compliance: Performing daily vehicle inspections, maintaining accurate records, and securing customer signatures on job sites.
Qualifications
Licensing: Valid Class 1 License with a clean abstract (max 3 demerits).
Experience: Proficiency with 18-speed manual transmissions and experience with oversized/wide loads (10' wide steel panels).
Physical Fitness: Ability to pass a yard fitness test and comfortably perform manual labour in a fast-paced environment (approx. 20 orders/day).
Technical Skill: Forklift certification and picker truck experience are highly valued.
Documentation: Must provide a Letter of Experience from a previous employer and pass a driver evaluation/written test.
