We are looking for a driver with at least 5 years of proven experience, exceptional driving skills, and a strong commitment to regulatory compliance. You will act as the face of our company, interacting with customers and ensuring that fragile, high-value cargo arrives safely and on time. unlike standard long-haul roles, we prioritize your rest and comfort: we provide paid hotel accommodations for all overnight trips, meaning no sleeping in the cab. With a competitive wage of $27.00 to $29.00 per hour, a lucrative 5% quarterly performance bonus, and a focus on safety, this is an opportunity for a true road professional.
Advantages
Starting hourly rate of $27.00 - $29.00
A bonus of 5% of annual salary, paid out quarterly.
Overtime is required.
Could be 7:30 AM or earlier, depending on the route assignment.
Local Shift (Calgary): If assigned a local shift, hours are typically 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM.
Long-haul deliveries to Manitoba (typically Sunday to Thursday), with other Western Canada routes
Note: Company pays for hotel accommodations and reimburses food costs while away on long-haul deliveries.
Responsibilities
Operate Class 1 flatdeck trucks safely through various terrains, including mountain driving in BC and prairie routes in SK/MB.
Expertly secure high-value quartz slabs using proper strapping, chaining, and tarping techniques to prevent damage during transport.
Ensure timely pickup and delivery of products to customer sites, maintaining a professional demeanor as the primary point of contact.
Maintain accurate electronic logbooks ELD, bills of lading, and delivery documentation in strict accordance with transportation regulations.
Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any maintenance needs immediately.
Plan efficient routes to maximize time while adhering to all safety and legal speed limits.
Qualifications
Valid Class 1 (AZ) Driver’s License with a clean current driver’s abstract (3 years).
Minimum 5+ years of professional driving experience (Mandatory).
Proven experience operating flatdeck trailers; specific experience hauling stone/quartz/A-frames is a significant asset.
Ability to travel across Western Canada (AB, BC, SK, MB) for multi-day trips.
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
