Responsibilities
- Set up tooling, dies, and CNC press brake machinery according to job parameters.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics for exact bending/forming specifications.
- Operate equipment efficiently while maintaining tight tolerances on metal components.
- Conduct quality checks using precision measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, tape measure).
- Perform routine machine adjustments and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Keep work areas clean and adhere strictly to facility safety protocols.
- Collaborate with production leads to meet daily output goals.
Qualifications
- Experience: 1–2+ years operating and setting up CNC press brake machinery.
- Technical Skills: Strong blueprint reading, tool selection, and precision measurement abilities.
- Physical/Logistics: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, reliable transport to St. Thomas, and legal authorization to work in Canada.
- Shift Commitment: Must be able to work the bi-weekly day/afternoon shift rotation.
- Communication: Fluent in English (written and verbal) for clear on-site coordination.
