We’re currently expanding and looking for an experienced CNC Machine Operator to join our Sidney, BC manufacturing team. In this role, you'll play a key part in machining aircraft parts and tooling, with a strong focus on precision, process safety, and excellence in aerospace manufacturing.
Position title: CNC Machine Operator
Position type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Sidney, BC
Schedule: Determined by the manager
Monday – Thursday: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM / Monday – Thursday: 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM / Friday – Sunday: 6:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Salary: $27.00-$43.00 (based on certification and level of experience)
Red Seal or Inter-Provincial Machinist Trades Qualification or an equivalent certification from a recognized national, state, or provincial body is an asset.
You are legally permitted to work Fulltime in British Columbia

Responsibilities
Machine aircraft components, tooling, and other parts from standard and exotic materials using both conventional and CNC equipment.
Operate CNC Milling and Turning machines to machine aircraft parts and tooling from various materials
Setup, operate, and inspect parts during production
Ensure all work meets customer and industry quality standards
Conduct in-process inspections and maintain a safe, clean work area
Follow all safety protocols and report any concerns to the Supervisor
Collaborate with Charge Hand and other team members to meet production goals
Perform other tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications
Red Seal or Journeyman certification in machining, or an Inter-Provincial Machinist Trades Qualification or an equivalent certification from a recognized national, state, or provincial body is an asset.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating CNC equipment
Ability to interpret technical drawings and work with both conventional and CNC machines
Proficiency in Mastercam programming and CNC programming qualification required.
Strong understanding of quality standards in aerospace manufacturing
Physically able to perform required tasks, including working in varying environmental conditions
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and mathematical skills
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Additional Requirements:
Adherence to Health & Safety Policies
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when required
Ability to work in diverse environmental conditions (temperature extremes, confined spaces, heights, etc.)
Legal eligibility to work full-time in British Columbia
