Responsibilities
• Execute complex machine setups and precision machining of alloy and super alloy steels for production runs and custom work.
• Perform expert-level CNC program editing and prove-outs while identifying opportunities to optimize machining efficiency.
• Conduct thorough part inspections using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and metrology equipment to ensure complete compliance.
• Execute internal and external oilfield threading utilizing programmable steady rests, tailstocks, and multi-axis live tooling capabilities.
• Read and interpret complex engineering blueprints while updating computerized job management systems accurately throughout production.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance and safety checks on machinery, keeping work areas clean, organized, and compliant.
Qualifications
• 5 to 10 years of setup experience on Okuma or Haas Lathes and multi-axis Mills (Vertical and Horizontal).
• Extensive background in metrology and expert knowledge regarding the machinability of corrosion-resistant alloys.
• Proven ability to read and accurately interpret complex technical engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Working knowledge of programmable steady rests, tailstocks, live tooling, and job management software.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs comfortably throughout the work shift.
