Responsibilities
- Machine Setup & Execution: Set up and operate CNC machinery (mills, lathes, or routers) to produce tight-tolerance components.
- Material Loading: Safely load raw stock materials and monitor production cycles from setup to completion.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read technical blueprints, engineering schematics, and job orders to verify part specifications.
- Quality Assurance: Perform regular quality inspections using precision tools (micrometers, calipers, depth gauges).
- Basic Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform minor tool changes, machine tweaks, and routine adjustments to maintain peak production.
- Shop Safety & Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work cell following all company health and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Hands-on Experience: 1+ years of proven CNC machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Blueprint & GD&T Knowledge: Ability to read engineering drawings and comfortably interpret GD&T standards.
- Measurement Proficiency: Skilled with precision inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
- Physical Capability: Able to stand throughout a full shift and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and reliable transportation to Brantford, ON.
