Responsibilities
Responsibilities

Set up and operate a variety of CNC machines to perform turning, milling, drilling, and other machining functions on metal workpieces.
Read and interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders to determine product specifications, tooling requirements, and operational sequences.
Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machines using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
Input control instructions into the machine's control unit and make necessary adjustments to programs to ensure the quality and accuracy of produced parts.
Monitor machine operations, listening for unusual sounds or vibrations, and adjust machine controls or change cutting tools as needed to maintain quality standards.
Perform regular quality checks on finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure they meet strict dimensional and tolerance standards.
Troubleshoot and diagnose common CNC machine problems, performing minor repairs and consulting with the manufacturer for more complex issues.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all company safety protocols and procedures.
Lift and position workpieces manually or with the assistance of lifting equipment as required.
Perform additional duties and support other team members as needed to ensure production targets are met.

Qualifications
A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as a CNC Operator or CNC Machinist is required.
A proven track record of excellent attendance and reliability in previous roles.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and diagnose common problems with CNC machinery.
Experience performing quality checks on final products to ensure they consistently meet production and quality standards.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that require manual dexterity and physical strength.
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
