In this CNC Operator role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of part production. From performing complex setups to interpreting intricate blueprints, your expertise as a CNC Operator ensures that every component meets rigorous quality standards. Responsibilities
• Continuously monitor and operate CNC machines for the production of high-quality metal parts within the manufacturing & logistics environment.
• Perform full machine setups for the CNC Operator role, ensuring all parameters align with technical requirements and bend sequences.
• Read and interpret complex blueprints to determine exact dimensions and material tolerances.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts from the CNC machine efficiently and safely.
• Monitor machine operations closely, listening for unusual sounds or vibrations to proactively prevent equipment failure.
• Adjust machine controls and change cutting or forming tools as needed to maintain strict quality standards.
• Perform regular quality checks on finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, strictly adhering to all company safety protocols and manufacturing & logistics regulations.
• Lift and position workpieces manually or with the assistance of lifting equipment as required by the production schedule.
• Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize the manufacturing process.
Qualifications
• Proven experience as a CNC Operator or Press Brake Operator in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machining is a strong asset.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and following manufacturing & logistics protocols.
• Reliable transportation to the St. Thomas area.
• Proficiency in operating CNC Press Brake machinery and performing independent setups.
• Advanced ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong mathematical skills for calculating bend allowances and material thickness.
• Precision in using manual measuring tools (calipers, micrometers).
• Problem-solving mindset to troubleshoot mechanical or software issues on the fly.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively within a manufacturing & logistics team.
