We are hiring for a Collections Administrator for a reputable client in Cambridge. This is a permanent, full-time role for a candidate who enjoys a balanced 50/50 split between financial recovery and office administration. This successful candidate will be required to work fully onsite.

Responsibilities
In this dual-capacity role, you will be responsible for maximizing cash flow while ensuring administrative accuracy. Your duties are split between two key areas:
Collections (50%)
- Proactively contact customers regarding outstanding balances - via emails, phones and administration.
- Connecting with sales reps and drivers to help collection of outstanding balances.
- Record payments to customer accounts in the system and reconcile cash payments collected by CSRs.
- Identify potential bad debt, accounts at risk, and candidates for collections or write-offs.
- Handle customer objections relating to services or charges with professionalism.
- Communicate with and prepare necessary documentation for collection agencies.
Administrative & Data Entry (50%)
- Send invoices and statements in response to inquiries and prepare monthly statements for mailing.
- Verify and respond to payment inquiries while keeping detailed notes in the operating software.
- Contact customers regarding rejected payments and update credit card expiry dates.
- Utilize word processing and spreadsheets for communication and detailed report preparation.
- Provide general office support and assist teammates with administrative tasks as requested.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a collections and/or accounts receivable role is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and a high aptitude for learning new software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional and tactful manner.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively under deadlines.
