Our client in the west end of Ottawa is seeking a customer-service oriented Collections Clerk to support their team on a 3 month contract, with a possibility of extension. They will be responsible for recovering outstanding debts, managing overdue accounts, and negotiating payment plans with businesses.

Responsibilities
The Collections Clerk will be expected to:
Perform basic collections activities, including contacting customers regarding outstanding balances.
Make and receive collection calls and emails professionally.
Screen incoming calls and action requests appropriately, ensuring timely resolution or escalation when required.
Handle low-level ticket fulfillment (Tier 1 support) and escalate issues when necessary.
Maintain accurate records of customer communications and account activity.
Qualifications
The Collections Clerk will ideally have:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
French is an asset, but not required
Strong customer service and organizational skills.
Basic computer skills and experience with ticketing and Gmail
