Responsibilities
- Monitor outstanding balances and contact customers via phone and email regarding overdue payments.
- Maintain detailed records of all collection efforts and customer interactions.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve complex billing issues.
- Negotiate payment plans with customers when necessary.
- Issue delinquent and suspension notices as required.
- Prepare weekly/monthly reports on collection activities and track the reduction of older overdue accounts.
- Process payments via an online merchant and accurately enter cash receipt journals.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations, and assist with financial audits.
- Provide customer support for billing inquiries and contribute to continuous collections process improvements.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, or a closely related financial role.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) for effective customer engagement.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to effectively multitask.
- Proven capacity for problem-solving and delivering professional customer service.
