Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring consistent follow-up and resolution of outstanding balances
Conduct outbound collection calls and send follow-up emails to secure payment arrangements
Review and approve customer orders in line with credit terms and account status
Handle customer inquiries and provide account summaries, reconciliations, and documentation as needed
Collaborate with internal departments, including sales and operations, to resolve account or payment-related issues
Recommend appropriate next steps for unresolved accounts, including potential credit holds or escalations
Maintain accurate documentation of all communications and collection activities
Contribute to departmental reporting and support ad hoc projects as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications
Completion of a post-secondary program in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
3+ years of experience working in a collections environment
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
Previous experience using accounting systems and navigating vendor platforms
French language skills are considered an asset, but not required
