Responsibilities
Your primary focus will be on ensuring supply meets demand and resolving operational challenges, including:
Procurement & Ordering: Creating and ensuring the timely release of all purchase orders (POs), internal orders, and parts requisitions (IPRs).
Planning & Inventory: Regularly running MRP (Material Requirements Planning) to align supply with demand and maintaining optimal inventory levels for your assigned commodities.
Risk & Gap Mitigation: Driving solutions to close supply gaps, mitigate risks to the production schedule, and lead escalation calls with suppliers and internal teams when necessary.
Logistics & Tracking: Arranging and coordinating all material shipments, tracking inbound and outbound logistics, and ensuring compliance with receiving processes, especially for urgent deliveries.
Issue Resolution: Promptly resolving receiving rejection issues and addressing and clearing invoice-related issues within the internal system.
Operational Leadership: Leading operational calls with suppliers, closely monitoring on-time delivery schedules, and providing reports to the production expeditor.
Data & System Maintenance: Maintaining accurate SAP data (e.g., ATP and AB confirmations), keeping purchase order information up to date, and ensuring the timely closure of POs.
Collaboration: Responding to email inquiries from internal teams, external customers, and vendors, and actively participating in team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must bring a combination of formal education and practical experience:
Education: Post-secondary education (degree, diploma, or certificate) is required.
Experience: At least 3+ years of experience in supply chain, planning, purchasing, material handling, and inventory management.
Technical Expertise:
Excellent proficiency in SAP for material movement and management is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) is required.
Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple projects, suppliers, and priorities with minimal supervision in challenging conditions, coupled with strong verbal and written communication skills.
