Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive compensation strategy and establish salary administration guidelines to promote pay transparency.
- Conduct continuous market analysis and research emerging industry trends to ensure compensation remains externally competitive and internally equitable.
- Lead and manage key annual processes, including merit increases and bonus programs, ensuring adherence to established salary structures.
- Monitor regulatory changes, maintain compliance with legislation (such as Ontario's Pay Equity Act), and prepare reports in line with the Pay Transparency Act.
- Head the job evaluation process, determining appropriate salary grades, standardizing job description templates, and establishing job titling conventions for consistency.
- Support the design and administration of incentives and variable pay programs, ensuring they align with business objectives and are assessed for effectiveness using analytics.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related discipline is required.
- You must have 5+ years of experience in Total Rewards, covering Compensation, Benefits, and Recognition.
- Strong knowledge of job evaluation methodologies, salary surveys, compensation benchmarking, and annual merit increase/bonus calculations is essential.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced MS Excel skills, is needed.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and communication skills are key, along with the ability to influence stakeholders and manage vendor relationships.
