•Monitoring & Auditing: Conduct comprehensive compliance testing, audits, and investigations to identify potential gaps.
•Regulatory Advisory: Review new and existing legislation; track and communicate emerging risks to management with recommended actions.
•Strategic Support: Assist in resolving client escalations through thorough research and evidence compilation.
•Documentation: Update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), regulatory artifacts, and internal policies.
•Reporting: Prepare and present high-level reports and presentations for key stakeholders, ensuring clarity and data accuracy.
•Collaboration: Act as a liaison between Business, Compliance, and Control Function partners to ensure cohesive governance.

•Education: A University Degree in a related field (Business, Law, Finance, or similar).
•Experience: 3–4 years of professional experience, ideally within a financial institution or a regulatory/compliance environment.
•Hard Skills:
oProven ability in Regulatory Interpretation (interpreting complex legal text).
oAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
oStrong background in Risk Assessment and Business Writing.
•Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
•Preferred Assets: Experience with Data Analytics, Change Management, or presenting to senior leadership.
Summary
Location: Waterloo, ON (Hybrid – Mondays on-site).
Duration: 8 Months (Start Date: May 15th; End Date: Dec 31st).
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Standard Business Hours.
Interview Process: One-round virtual interview (45 minutes).
