Responsibilities
◾Supervise Construction Inspectors and provide guidance to ensure projects meet quality standards.
◾Review and interpret contract drawings, specifications, and special provisions.
◾Inspect construction operations to ensure compliance with contract documents, quality, and safety standards.
◾Verify quantities, prepare progress reports, and maintain meticulous project documentation.
◾Proactively identify and resolve issues, and negotiate any extra work required.
◾Prepare reports, quantity measurements, claims, and payment certifications.
◾Communicate effectively with contractors and clients.
Qualifications
◾Registered as an EIT, or P. Eng. with PEO or rcca with OACETT is required.
◾Demonstrated experience as a Contract Administrator, Resident Engineer, Quantity Surveyor, or an assistant in these roles on at least two prior projects
◾A minimum of five years of experience in watermain, sanitary, storm, and/or grade construction on road projects.
◾Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
◾Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is considered an asset
