Responsibilities
◾Coordinate, schedule, supervise, and lead all onsite activities for heavy civil construction projects
◾Monitor project progress, maintain requisite documentation/records, and coordinate with project manager regarding relevant issues and project progression
◾Interpret contract drawings, specifications and correspondence
◾Collaborate with project managers to ensure project goals are achieved
◾Coordinate and supervise relevant subcontractors, trades, and external suppliers
◾Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety standards, and environmental regulations
◾Daily quantity/production and cost reporting to direct supervisors and senior management, as required
Qualifications
◾5+ years’ experience managing heavy civil construction projects of varying scale and scope
◾Specific experience with asphalt paving, grading, traffic control, and pipe installations is required
◾Strong working knowledge of construction process, OPSS specifications, OTM Book 7, and other relevant construction manuals
◾Experience with GPS and elevation layout equipment is an asset
◾Experience with equipment operation is an asset
