Responsibilities
* Financial leadership - Oversee the accuracy of all corporate financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements
* Lead corporate strategic budgeting and financial projection modeling
* Supervise, mentor and build the capacity of the corporate accounting and analyst team, ensuring balanced workload distribution and technical excellence
* Regulatory reporting - direct the preparation and timely submission of key capital, liquidity and financial disclosures to Canadian regulatory authorities (including OSFI and related bodies)
* Taxation & Compliance - oversee direct and indirect corporate tax returns, manage regulatory compliance audits (such as CRA) and serve as the primary liaison for annual external audits
* Policy Maintenance - ensure ongoing compliance with IFRS and manage financial reporting packages for internal operations
Qualifications
* Min 5 yrs of progressive corporate finance or accounting experience, with at least 3 yrs in the banking industry
* CPA or international CA designations or those in final stages of the program
* Advanced proficiency in MS Excel for financial modeling
* Required strong foundational knowledge of OSFI (specifically capital/liquidity guidelines)
* Must have a strong leadership mindset
* Must be ok and comfortable working in the office 5 days/week, location downtown Toronto
