Responsibilities
•Perform daily and weekly project cost tracking and reconciliation in line with established processes
•Review, code, and track invoices to ensure accurate cost allocation
•Maintain and update cost trackers using SAP, Oracle, purchase orders, invoices, and vendor data
•Identify and resolve cost discrepancies in a timely manner
•Support monthly accruals and affiliate billings
•Conduct variance analysis and provide detailed financial reporting
•Prepare dashboards, reports, and presentations for project and management review
•Track scope changes and maintain detailed change logs
•Ensure adherence to sanctioned cost control processes across all project phases
•Capture data for benchmarking and continuous improvement initiatives
•Coordinate weekly Project Controls meetings, including agenda preparation and minutes
•Collaborate with Project Managers, Finance, and stakeholders to provide updates and insights
•Support documentation management, compliance standards, and audit readiness
•Contribute to identifying and implementing solutions to project control challenges
•Adapt cost control strategies based on evolving project requirements
Qualifications
•University degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
•Strong understanding of distribution operations procedures and policies is preferred
•Proven experience in cost control, financial tracking, or project accounting
•Proficiency in SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
•Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
•Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
•Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
•Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
•PMP (Project Management Professional), AACE certification, or P.Eng designation considered strong assets
•Valid driver’s abstract required (occasional travel between offices may be needed)
