In this Counter Sales Representative position, you will join a close-knit team of five at one of the region's most profitable branches. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end customer experience, from initial inquiry to final order pickup. The Markham branch operates in a high-pressure, competitive market where speed and accuracy are everything. You will be expected to "own" the customer’s request, ensuring they receive their quotes and products faster than the competition can react.

Responsibilities
• Directly service customers via phone, email, and in-person at the counter on a daily basis.
• Process orders, inquiries, and detailed quotations with a focus on accuracy and speed as well as upselling high-margin consumables.
• Actively manage the warehouse component of the role, including picking orders, cutting wire, and putting away stock.
• Utilize the AS400 ERP and Microsoft Dynamics CRM systems to maintain accurate customer records and inventory data.
• Assist customers with e-commerce inquiries and navigating digital product catalogs.
• Maintain a clean and organized counter and warehouse area to ensure safety and efficiency.
Qualifications
• Approximately 2 years of experience in a customer-facing or retail sales role. Electrical industry experience is a huge asset.
• Strong multitasking abilities to juggle phone calls, emails, and walk-in customers simultaneously.
• Competitive "winning" attitude with a drive to see orders through to completion with a proactive problem-solving skills with a "customer-solution" mindset rather than just being an order taker.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build long-term relationships with contractors and vendors.
• Physical stamina to work in a warehouse environment, including lifting and cutting heavy wire when needed.
• Proficiency in basic computer systems; experience with AS400 or Microsoft Dynamics is a significant asset.
• Willingness to work on-site in Markham (Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM shift rotations).
