As a Credit Application Analyst, you will be responsible for the operational support of the sales channel and credit underwriting function, with a focus on ensuring submission quality and document compliance for Real Estate Secured Lending products. This is a mainly back-office role with some interaction with internal branch partners. Responsibilities
Operational Support & Compliance:
Provide operational support by reviewing, updating, and analyzing all credit documentation for accuracy and adherence to all regulatory and legal requirements.
Be accountable for completing a range of responsibilities associated with Real Estate Secured Lending products, involving single to multiple steps across several systems and applications.
Ensure complete and accurate data input into the origination system to assist in the preparation of loan documentation.
Reconcile, verify, and process all required credit support material and documentation for credit transactions.
Follow internal and industry regulations and operating practices in completing and recording transactions.
Customer & Partner Service:
Provide guidance and support to internal business partners on a broad range of credit products.
Ensure business partner or customer problems are handled appropriately, effectively, and escalated as necessary.
Support partner relationships to ensure business objectives and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met.
Risk Management & Efficiency:
Prioritize and manage your own workload to meet SLA requirements for service and productivity.
Complete investigations and report/escalate risk issues or process gaps identified.
Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Must-Have:
Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience in a professional or corporate environment. Post-secondary education is required.
Core Skills: Proven strong communication skills and strong problem-solving skills.
Location: Must be local to the Edmonton work location (10205-101st Street Northwest) and be able to commit to the primarily onsite schedule (4 days a week).
Availability: Must be able to work the rotational schedule with hours between 8 am and 7 pm, including one Saturday every 4–5 weeks.
Nice-to-Have:
Previous experience or foundational knowledge in mortgage lending concepts or the mortgage industry.
