Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive sales and service activities.
• Provide expert product support and respond promptly to inquiries in partnership with the sales & marketing team.
• Support the feed sales department by providing product updates and acting as a liaison between customers and sales staff.
• Coordinate bagged feed orders and deliveries to ensure efficient, cost-effective service for all clients.
• Manage supplier relations by researching new sources of supply and coordinating promotional programs.
• Oversee inventory control, including accurate billing, frequent counts, and timely product ordering within budget.
• Coordinate store advertising, promotions, and seasonal campaigns alongside the Marketing Director.
• Assist with external communications, including product announcements, newsletters, and promotional emails.
• Support social media activities by capturing store photos and preparing highlights that reinforce the brand.
• Gather content for storytelling, such as customer success stories and vendor updates, to support sales & marketing materials.
• Maintain store presentation by ensuring aisles and displays are clean, organized, and aligned with merchandising standards.
• Manage regulatory reporting, including veterinary and pesticide renewals and sales summaries.
• Maintain and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure operational excellence.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail, customer service, and marketing/social media support.
• Proven ability to create engaging social media content and promote product features to a target audience.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills for customer updates and brand messaging.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proactive, "self-starter" attitude and a commitment to teamwork.
• Highly organized with a sharp attention to detail regarding inventory management, pricing, and reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS/inventory systems; Great Plains (GP) experience is a significant asset.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively within a fast-paced retail and sales & marketing environment.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required for store and warehouse operations.
• Must possess or obtain a Pesticide Dispenser Certificate and Veterinary Drug Dispensers Certificate within 3 months of hire.
• Forklift Certificate required (or must be acquired within 3 months; training is provided).
• An agricultural background or specific experience with animal health products is strongly preferred.
