Responsibilities
- Acts as the primary point of contact for patients, physicians, and healthcare partners.
- Manages high-volume inquiries via phone and email, ensuring professional handling of both inbound and outbound correspondence.
- Triages and escalates complex issues to specialized staff (nurses, physicians, or managers) when necessary.
- Serves as a program expert, providing overviews and answering treatment-related questions.
- Manages appointment logistics, including verifying schedules and checking clinic/nurse availability.
- Resolves patient concerns to ensure satisfaction and treatment adherence.
- Ensures all filing and documentation are submitted correctly to designated programs and prescribers.
- Navigates patient management systems to input data and track resources.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service and/or related clinical environment; working knowledge of medical terminology is an asset.
- Ability to demonstrate good knowledge of computer software applications; Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Typing and proofreading correspondence, forms, and other documents using computer software.
- Ability to convey a positive and professional image to customers and team members.
- Ability to think critically, multi-task and troubleshoot.
- Maintain composure in high pressure situations, working well in high volume situations.
- Capable of following an issue through to conclusion.
- Strong active listening skills.
- English proficiency is required for this position to effectively communicate with internal
and external stakeholders.
- Bilingualism (French and English) may be required depending on the specific role,
location, and the needs of the organization.
