Responsibilities
Serve as a Data & Analytics Architect, delivering end-to-end solutions from data ingestion to reporting and governance
Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports, including:
Data modeling and DAX development
Performance tuning and optimization
Governance practices (certification, lineage, endorsements)
Build and manage data pipelines and repositories using Microsoft Fabric
Design and implement Copilot Studio agents to:
Automate workflows (Power Automate, Dataverse, Microsoft Graph)
Answer data-related queries with appropriate guardrails (RBAC, DLP policies)
Integrate external data sources via REST APIs, including:
Authentication (OAuth2, API keys)
Handling pagination and throttling
Secure data refresh configurations
Promote and implement Responsible AI practices, ensuring data readiness and governance
Use Copilot in Power BI to accelerate reporting and insights generation
Provide technical leadership, guidance, and knowledge transfer to internal teams
Qualifications
5+ years of advanced experience in:
Power BI (data modeling, DAX, performance tuning, governance)
API integration for analytics (authentication, pagination, throttling)
2+ years of experience with:
Microsoft Fabric (Workspaces, Pipelines, OneLake, SQL Analytics)
Copilot Studio (agent design and integrations with Power Platform tools)
Strong experience with:
REST APIs and secure data integration
Data architecture, ingestion pipelines, and semantic modeling
Power Platform (Power Automate, Dataverse, Microsoft Graph)
Ability to design scalable, secure, and governed data solutions
Additional Requirements
Must be able to obtain Secret security clearance (minimum 5 years residency in Canada required)
Must be able to work on-site in Ottawa periodically (~12 days/month)
