Data Governance & DQ Adoption: Champion data quality and metadata governance principles across business and technical project streams, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.
Requirements Gathering & Prioritization: Capture, define, and prioritize business data quality requirements by working directly with end users, traders, and operational leads.
Complex Data Issue Resolution: Analyze, investigate, and resolve complex data quality issues and metadata gaps across high-volume capital markets data feeds.
Data Analysis & Profiling: Write advanced SQL queries and Python scripts to extract, profile, and validate large datasets across relational and cloud platforms.
Team Mentorship & Coordination: Lead task execution for data quality initiatives, train internal team members, and foster a collaborative environment focused on continuous data excellence.
Qualifications
Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Commerce, or a related quantitative discipline with strong computer science fundamentals.
Capital Markets & Banking Domain: Proven knowledge of capital markets business concepts paired with a solid understanding of banking data architectures and financial data flows.
Data Quality & Governance Depth: Demonstrated experience capturing metadata, establishing data quality rules, and managing data issue remediation workflows.
Programming & SQL Proficiency: Strong hands-on technical skills in SQL for dataset querying and Python for data manipulation and analysis.
Soft Skills: Outstanding critical thinking, sharp attention to detail, strong adaptability to changing priorities, and excellent written/verbal communication skills.
Preferred Assets & Nice-to-Haves
Hands-on experience with enterprise data governance and ETL suites such as IBM Information Analyzer, IBM Cloud Pak for Data, IBM DataStage, or Ataccama.
Exposure to cloud technologies, modern data lake architectures, and AI-assisted data quality tools.
