In this senior, high-impact role, you will be a key contributor to the organization’s enterprise data platform strategy, enabling self-serve analytics, scalable data products, and robust data governance across institutional portfolios. Working within a dedicated data platform squad, you will architect, design, and implement secure, scalable, and high-performance data solutions using Snowflake and cloud-native technologies. You will build foundational data capabilities, evaluate integrations for data-as-a-product initiatives, establish DevOps and governance practices, and mentor junior engineers while driving the evolution of modern engineering practices.
Position Title: Data Solutions Developer IV / Senior Data Engineer
Duration: 12-Month Contract (11/02/2026 to 11/01/2027; extension or FTE conversion possible based on business needs)

Responsibilities
Data Engineering & Architecture: Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines, data lakes, and enterprise data warehousing solutions aligned with the long-term technology vision.
Snowflake & Cloud Optimization: Build scalable data products in Snowflake, focusing on query optimization, warehouse management, and cost governance.
Data Marketplace & Integrations: Evaluate and implement system integrations supporting enterprise data discovery and data-as-a-product paradigms.
DevOps & Data Governance: Establish and enhance automated CI/CD practices to improve developer experience, time-to-market, data quality, reliability, and security standards.
API & Microservice Development: Design and build resilient APIs and microservices to facilitate seamless data flows across core business applications.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with business analysts, data scientists, and product managers to translate complex requirements into scalable technical solutions while mentoring junior team members.
Qualifications
Domain Expertise: 7+ years of experience working within the Asset Management or Institutional Investment domain is mandatory.
Enterprise Data Experience: 7+ years of experience working in data-driven organizations on large-scale, end-to-end data initiatives.
Cloud Platform Depth: 5+ years of hands-on experience building data platforms, applications, and pipelines using cloud-native technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Snowflake Mastery: Deep, practical proficiency with Snowflake ecosystems, including data warehouses, query performance tuning, and cost governance.
Programming Skills: Strong, production-level coding skills in Python, SQL, Java, or Scala.
AWS Services Expertise: Hands-on experience with core AWS data services, including S3, EC2, EKS, Glue, SageMaker, Athena, and Redshift.
API Architecture: Demonstrated experience designing APIs, microservices, and modern data ingestion/flow management pipelines.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Preferred Assets & Nice-to-Haves
Experience with enterprise data visualization platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
Familiarity with AI-driven data automation, data lineage, and catalog tools.
