Responsibilities
•Install, configure and maintain all supported database software (Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server) on prem and in Azure cloud-based High Availability environments
•Carry out database performance tuning and analysis
•Implement and review backup and recovery strategy to ensure that business service-level agreements are met
•Conduct database security administration to ensure that data is only available to authorized users
•Ensure data consistency by adhering to data model standards and best practices
•Maintain schema objects and perform production migrations
•Resolve database related technical issues
•Analyze and monitor system performance to identify major performance bottlenecks in the system and identify the impact of administration tasks on core business scenarios
•Participate in the resolution of complex database issues by applying advanced level knowledge
•Provide operational support to database administrators
•Other related activities and deliverables, as required
Qualifications
Required Qualifications & Skills
•A minimum of five (5) years demonstrated experience as a Database Administrator (as a DBA or similar role) with recent demonstrated experience in the following:
oMS Azure SQL and Azure SQL Managed Instance (MI) database and Oracle Exadata database deployed in Azure cloud environments
oOracle 19c and SQL Server 2019 or higher
oCloud SQL PaaS Services, specifically Azure
oOracle Cloud, specifically Oracle Exadata Database Service
oPostgreSQL on Azure
oOracle Exadata, Data Guard, RAC
oDatabase Recovery Manager (RMAN) with backup/restore and point in time recovery.
oData Pump tool for database/data migration
oConcept of Oracle Advanced Security Transparent Data Encryption (TDE)
Additional Qualifications
The following will also be considered:
•Demonstrated ability to organize effectively
•Demonstrated experience with Oracle Autonomous Database
•Demonstrated knowledge of Commvault
•Demonstrated knowledge of Dynatrace
•Any relevant designations/certifications (OCP, Azure, etc.) including:
oMicrosoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
oMicrosoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
oOracle cloud certifications
