Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
Cloud Engineering & Infrastructure Leadership
Lead the development, architecture, and ongoing maintenance of AWS cloud platforms and components.
Champion Infrastructure as Code practices and manage Terraform deployment workflows and configuration drift.
Own the GitLab-based CI/CD environment and related tools (Artifactory, Xray, SonarQube).
Operational Excellence & Incident Management
Provide primary support for cloud infrastructure incidents and operational requests, including after-hours support when required.
Drive design discussions focused on stability, performance, and resilient cloud engineering practices.
Security, Access & Monitoring
Lead IAM and configuration management strategies (AWS IAM Identity Center).
Develop and operationalize monitoring for systems, workloads, and cloud services.
Manage a broad AWS ecosystem—including compute, storage, EKS, databases, Lambda, API Gateway, Kafka/MKS, and more.
Collaboration & Vendor Management
Provide technical direction and mentorship to DevOps peers and cross-functional teams.
Oversee and optimize performance of vendor partners supporting cloud operations.
Qualifications
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing AWS IaaS/PaaS cloud solutions (Azure experience an asset).
Strong proficiency in DevOps/IaC tools and practices (Terraform, containers/EKS, serverless).
3+ years managing AWS S3, Lambda, and AWS Transfer Family.
Experience with IBM MQ and Device42 (CMDB) is an asset.
Proven experience implementing test plans and defining testing methodologies.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Collaborative mindset and experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
AWS Solutions Architect certification is a plus.
