We are supporting a client in the technology industry who is looking for an experienced Director, People & Culture to join their team! The ideal candidate will have exposure to HR practices in both Canada and the US, be well-versed in employment laws and regulations, and have worked closely with employees at all levels.

Hybrid work environment (at least one day per week on-site in the downtown Toronto office)
Responsibilities
Responsible for employee relations - including performance management, coaching, disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and more.
Support with full-cycle recruitment, with a focus on senior-level managerial roles (in Canada and the US).
Utilize data and information gathered through the HRIS and ATS to advise, implement and action recommendations to improve efficiency.
Lead the compensation, benefits and total rewards strategies to ensure market alignment.
Oversee employee engagement through data, suggestions, new strategies/programs, and more.
With the Executive team, create long-term HR strategies, policies, and programs.
Other projects as requested.
Qualifications
A minimum of 7 years in an HR role, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership role (including direct management of a team).
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration or a related field.
Experience working with both Canadian and US workforce is preferred.
Strong communication skills and past experience working with the Executive team.
