We are looking for a dispatcher to work for a National transportation company. In this role you will be responsible for dispatching local units to pick up and deliver freight while monitoring the performance of drivers. The ideal candidate will be a team player, have the ability to multitask, prioritize effectively and possess strong communication skills.

Salary: Hourly wage of $22
Schedule: From Monday to Friday  8am-4:00pm
Contract: 3-6 months contract with possibility of extension/permanency
Location: Accessible by public transportation or on-site parking, Moncton, NB
100% onsite role, mostly office based role although walking might be required to attend drivers

Responsibilities
•Execute on the P&D plan making necessary adjustments as required
•Answer phone calls from drivers and customers, inclusive of hired truck management.
•Review yard check to ensure freight is not missed and trucks are on schedule.
•Coordinate drivers to come back for the second round of deliveries.
•Coordinate daily P&D requirements.
•Monitor driver performance and report findings to manager.
•Identify areas for improvement and efficiency.
•Perform spot and switch execution as needed
•Exception queue management
Qualifications
•Communication skills - advanced
•Computer skills – accuracy, MS products, web-based programs such as TruckMate
•Demonstrated customer relationship skills
•Able to meet deadlines in a high transactional environment
•Strong sense of urgency and ability to respond to demands in a calm manner.
•Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills to manage demands and resolve issues with drivers, co-workers, etc.
•Ability to work independently; a self-starter
•Ability to work a flexible work schedule
•Results focused
