As a Distribution Centre Manager, you will optimize daily workflows, streamline logistics, and collaborate with senior management to achieve operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing & logistics setting. Responsibilities
• Lead, coach, and manage warehouse staff to meet daily performance expectations.
• Partner with HR to recruit, hire, schedule, and support employee development.
• Manage receiving, storage, handling, and shipping of all product and supplies.
• Monitor daily workflows and assist operations to ensure on-time customer order fulfillment.
• Serve as the primary contact for freight carriers and maintain strong vendor relations.
• Conduct regular facility inspections for safety, organization, and cleanliness.
• Collaborate with the Inventory Controller to correct inventory discrepancies.
• Review daily KPI reports, correct operational errors, and support budget planning
Qualifications
• 3+ years of management experience in a distribution centre or warehouse setting.
• Proven experience managing receiving, shipping, inventory, and order fulfillment.
• Demonstrated background in budget management and KPI tracking.
• Ability to stand for long periods, operate warehouse equipment, and lift 50+ lbs safely.
• Post-secondary education in supply chain, logistics, or business is considered an asset.
• Flexibility for occasional travel as required.
• Solutions-focused problem-solving and priority management abilities.
• Financial acumen for managing operational budgets and facility KPIs.
