As an Operations Manager in our Winnipeg facility, you will communicate with a broad network of transportation partners, regional growers, and national stakeholders. Therefore, strong fluency in English is required to effectively manage daily communications, review critical receiving documentation, and interact seamlessly with our centralized support teams across North America.

Responsibilities
• Provide overall leadership and accountability for all areas of the Distribution Centre.
• Ensure efficient receiving, put-away, storage, rotation, shipping, and order accuracy.
• Work with the Senior Manager of Product Quality to ensure inventory is properly labeled, stored, rotated, and maintained to required quality standards.
• Manage quarantine, dated, compromised, and on-hold product in accordance with company and food safety requirements.
• Analyze rejected orders, claims, service issues, and operational variances and implement corrective action.
• Develop and maintain weekly inbound and outbound operational reporting and performance metrics.
• Work with Sales and other departments to coordinate inbound freight and receiving, put-away, and storage requirements.
• Ensure the Distribution Centre building, grounds, equipment, and work areas are maintained in a safe and functional condition.
• Lead and reinforce Health and Safety requirements within the Distribution Centre.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement changes that improve efficiency, service, safety, and cost effectiveness.
Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory or management experience in a Distribution Centre or similar operational environment.
• Strong understanding of shipping, receiving, inventory flow, and operational efficiencies.
• Able to obtain and maintain a Safe Lift Truck Operator License
• Able to perform the physical requirements of the role, including occasional lifting and other Distribution Centre duties.
• Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills, with the ability to work with operational data and reporting.
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Deep understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs) within the manufacturing & logistics industry.
