Job Title: Edging & Mounting Specialist (Manufacturing Associate)
Location: Etobicoke, ON
Position Type: Long term opportunity
Shift: Afternoon Shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
Pay Rate: $21.00 – $25.00/hr (depending on experience) + shift premium
Advantages
Competitive Pay: $21.00–$25.00/hr based on experience, plus an additional $2.00/hr shift differential.

Responsibilities
Receive, sort, and organize lenses and eyeglass frames according to work tickets and prescriptions.
Inspect and trace eyeglass frames using specialized manual and automated equipment.
Perform lens blocking and operate edging machinery to accurately shape lenses to frame specifications.
Determine appropriate lens bevel positioning based on strength and curvature for optimal finish.
Mount, assemble, and fit finished lenses securely into eyeglass frames.
Process specialty orders and calibrate tracing equipment as required.
Perform thorough final cosmetic, tint, coating, and quality inspections on completed products.
Maintain clean workstations and strictly follow safety, quality, and operational procedures.
Assist with cross-functional production tasks across various workstations as needed.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience in production, manufacturing, assembly, general labor, or a similar hands-on environment.
Direct lens edging, mounting, or optical lab experience is an asset, but not required (training provided for strong labor candidates).
Excellent manual dexterity and strong observational attention to detail.
Comfortable operating, learning, and troubleshooting production machinery.
Reliable team player with the ability to work independently in a high-volume environment.
Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
Ability to clear a standard criminal background check.
