In this role, you won’t just be sitting behind a desk, you’ll be on the floor, engaging with our team, and ensuring a culture of safety. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual who enjoys a mix of compliance, training, and real-world problem-solving. Training and mentorship will be provided to help you excel and grow within the organization.
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- Work locally in Midland
- $50,000/year to $60,000/year
- Health, Safety & Environmental (Primary Focus)
- Compliance: Support the maintenance of HSE policies in alignment with local, provincial, and federal regulations.
- Preparedness: Assist with site emergency response plans, including alert systems and preparedness drills.
- Inspections: Conduct workplace safety inspections, risk assessments, and hazard identification.
- Education: Diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Studies, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Entry-level candidates with co-op or internship experience in manufacturing/industrial environments are highly encouraged to apply.
- Technical Knowledge: * Mechanical or Electrical expertise is a significant asset (familiarity with machinery).
- Knowledge of production processing (raw materials, manufacturing, and warehousing).

- Health, Safety & Environmental (Primary Focus)
- Compliance: Support the maintenance of HSE policies in alignment with local, provincial, and federal regulations.
- Preparedness: Assist with site emergency response plans, including alert systems and preparedness drills.

- Audits: Support ISO preparedness and customer-driven compliance audits.
- Investigations: Participate in incident and near-miss investigations, ensuring thorough documentation and follow-up.
- Engagement: Promote safety awareness through active "on-the-floor" presence and employee engagement.
- Sustainability: Support green initiatives, including waste reduction, recycling, and energy efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Studies, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Entry-level candidates with co-op or internship experience in manufacturing/industrial environments are highly encouraged to apply.
