Job Title: Electrical Test Engineer
Location: Richmond, BC (100% On-site, Monday to Friday)
Contract Terms: 6-Month Contract
Salary/Hourly Rate: $40.00 - $46.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Responsibilities
As a Test Engineer, you will be working hands-on in the lab to ensure the quality and reliability of next-generation residential energy products. Your core duties will include:
Test Planning & Requirement Review: Collaborate with system design engineers and stakeholders to understand project requirements. Translate system and sub-system specifications into comprehensive test plans and strategies.
Test Design and Execution: Create and execute detailed functional, regression, integration, and performance test cases/scripts. Manage traceability between test cases and requirements, and report on progress.
Defect Identification: Document, report, and help troubleshoot defects, anomalies, and firmware/hardware issues using defect tracking systems.
Test Bench Development: Support the entire test bench development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance.
Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or a relevant engineering degree/diploma from BCIT.
Experience: 0-3 years of experience in the integration, verification, and validation of electrical products. (We welcome recent graduates with internship/co-op experience!).
Technical Skills: * Familiarity with electrical testing equipment (e.g., AC/DC Power Supplies, Grid emulators, Keysight CDS) and hardware/firmware testing.
Knowledge of software tools like C++ is preferred but not a strict requirement.
Familiarity with systems engineering tools (such as JAMA, Confluence, and JIRA) is a plus.
Soft Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Travel: Willingness to travel up to 10% if required.
