Responsibilities
- Provide practical and technical training to employees with electrical responsibilities.
- Identify, plan, and implement resource selection, training, and development requirements to support the required skilled labor requirement of cells/departments with electrical responsibilities.
- Assess current performance and assist to define performance requirements and standards.
- Utilize instructional design techniques, including use of learning objectives, lesson plans, teaching aids and assessment materials when developing curricula.
- Ensure cells/departments with electrical responsibilities are compliant with safety requirements.
- Responsible for the training and development relating to quality and standard violation repeat issues demonstrated by electrical personnel.
- Provide support to the HR recruitment team with electrical tech on-boarding to include pre- and post-hiring testing and training.
- Provide support for the observation, creation, and improvement efforts of SWI's, OJT's and PQS's for electrical responsibilities.
- Develop curriculum, administer, and maintain internal certification programs for electrical processes.
- Analyze measures of performance (MOPs) relevant to the area of specialization, root cause, and determine if relevant training interventions are necessary.
- Support in the development of training methods such as evaluation and validation and determine the effectiveness of the training to validate the cost benefit.
- Ensure processes established by the Learning Institute on course delivery including sign in sheets, course evaluations and materials are ready and prepare for practical training delivery along with maintaining the Training Matrix.
- Observe all applicable safety requirements
Qualifications
- Electrical Certification and/or post-secondary education. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in an electrical tech role with a focus in On-the-Job Training (OJT) techniques, utilization of training plans and conducting practical training.
- Previous leadership experience or demonstrated capabilities.
- Thorough knowledge of engineering schematics/drawings, ability to interpret and apply in practical applications.
- Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Able to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to collaborate with all levels of management.
