The Electro-Mechanical Assembler position is a 6-month contract role based in Waterloo, Ontario. Working within the manufacturing & logistics specialization, the successful candidate will focus on the assembly and testing of electronic and optical subcomponents. This Electro-Mechanical Assembler role requires a high level of precision, as you will be working on advanced solutions used in aerospace and industrial fabrication. Your daily efforts as an Electro-Mechanical Assembler will directly impact the production of high-accuracy laser projection systems.

Responsibilities
• Adhering strictly to work orders and detailed assembly work instructions.
• Performing preparatory work, including the setup of tools, fixtures, and specialized test equipment.
• Producing complex subassemblies according to specific technical measures.
• Executing the final assembly of high-technology products and performing system-wide tests.
• Troubleshooting electronic and optical subassemblies to identify and resolve performance issues.
• Completing all required checklists, records, and reports to ensure full traceability of the build.
• Utilizing CRM and ERP systems for accurate production reporting.
• Conducting quality audit checklists and system-level inspections.
• Assisting the manufacturing & logistics team with receiving and putting away incoming materials.
• Maintaining a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency.
Qualifications
• Minimum Grade 12 diploma; a preferred diploma in Electronics, Electro-Mechanical, or Optics technology.
• At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally to shoulder height.
• Demonstrated ability to use tools, fixtures, and test equipment effectively.
• Commitment to a 6-month temporary contract duration.
• Must be able to pass a standard background check.
• Strong adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
